12 advices my father gave me when I was teenager

My dad is a complete character and an inspiration. He has given me some advices which are very much responsible in framing me into the person who i am.

1) There is humour to be found everywhere, even in your darkest days there is something to have a joke about. Laugh long and loud and make other people laugh. It’s good for you.

2) Be yourself. If someone doesn’t like you they are either stupid, blind or they have got bad taste. Accept who you are, you have got no one else to be. Don’t try to change yourself there is no point. Don’t apologies. Don’t make excuses. Be yourself and if anyone else doesn’t like it leave them.

3) It is OK to lose your temper. If anger stays in, it turns to poison and makes you bitter and sad. Get angry say your peace, then let it go.

4) What ever you do, always give it a good go. Don’t be afraid of failure and disappointment. If you fall flat on your face then get straight back up. You will always regret not trying. Disappointment is temporary, regret is forever.

5) Be generous and kind. When you’ve got something to give, give it without hesitation.

6) Appreciate beauty, take pictures and make memories. Capture it, you never know when it will be gone.

7) Never ever give up. Keep on punching no matter what your up against. You are only defeated if you give up, so don’t give up.

8) Love with all your heart. In the end, love is the only thing that matters.

9) Life is not about being the best at everything. It's about being the best at being you.

10) If you expect others to do what you would do, you will be disappointed. Do your best and let other people do theirs.

11) Learn to filter. Before you say anything, think about how the words you plan to use will sound in the ears of the person you are speaking to.

12) Don't worry about being popular. The weird kids are much more fun and will end up being your most interesting friends. Also when it comes to friends, you can't trump quality with quantity. Choose wisely.
